Long-Term Care for Resin Art

Caring for your resin art long-term involves some the following steps to maintain its appearance:

  1. Dust and Clean Regularly: Dust the surface gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent debris buildup. Clean the artwork periodically using a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to remove any smudges or dirt. Follow these steps with each use »
  2. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the colors to fade and the resin to yellow and degrade over time. Display your art in a location with indirect or softened light.
  3. Control Temperature and Humidity: Extreme temperatures and humidity can affect resin art. Avoid displaying it in areas with high temperature fluctuations or excessive moisture.
  4. Handle with Care: Avoid placing heavy objects on the resin art to prevent scratches, cracks or chips.
  5. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Refrain from using harsh cleaning chemicals or abrasive materials on the artwork, as they can damage the resin surface and affect its appearance.
  6. Store Properly: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat or moisture.
  7. Do Not Cut on the Resin Art: Epoxy is not safe to consume, and at minimum, it could ruin your art.
  8. Cutting on the Wood is not Advised: While it is safe to cut on the wood side of most of the pieces we make, it is not advised. It will cause degrade the overall presentation of your board and shorten the life of your board. Instead, serve food that has already been sliced so your guests can simply make their selection.

By following these care tips, you can preserve your board and quality of your art piece for years to come.
