Tips for Using Your Resin Charcuterie Board

These serving boards require TLC to keep them looking their best for a longtime.

  1. Avoid Cutting Directly on Epoxy Surface: While our epoxy serving boards are durable and resistant to damage, it is not recommended to cut directly on the epoxy surface. Please use a sharp knife on the wooden surface of the board. Cutting on the epoxy surface can cause scratches, nicks, or damage to the board. To prolong the life of the board, you might consider not cutting on the board at all, and using only as a serving platter.

  2. Wash Your Board Gently: We recommend washing your epoxy cutting board by hand using a mild dish soap and lukewarm water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or brushes, which can scratch the surface. Rinse the board thoroughly and dry it with a soft towel to avoid water spots.

  3. Avoid High Temperatures: Epoxy boards are not heat-resistant and can be damaged by high temperatures. Do not expose your board to temperatures above 120°F. Avoid placing hot pots, pans, or baking sheets directly on the board. Always use trivets or potholders to protect the epoxy surface.

  4. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Epoxy boards are not resistant to harsh chemicals, such as bleach or ammonia. Do not use these or other harsh chemicals to clean your board. Avoid contact with acidic foods such as citrus, vinegar, or tomatoes, as they can damage the epoxy surface.

  5. Store Carefully: Store your epoxy board in a dry and cool place.

  6. Avoid Direct Sun Exposure: Avoid exposing your resin product to direct sunlight or high humidity, as this can cause warping, yellowing or damage to the epoxy surface.

  7. Consider Wax Paper: We use wax paper under food when using our boards and slice all meats and cheeses to avoid cutting on the boards.

By following these tips, you ensure that your ocean resin board will remain in excellent condition for years to come. Thank you for choosing our product, and happy entertaining!
