How to Care For Your Resin Charcuterie Board

Caring for a charcuterie board with ocean resin art requires a gentle touch to preserve its beauty and durability. Here are some tips on how to care for your board:

  1. Handwashing your charcuterie board is recommended. Submerging the board in water or exposing it to high temperatures can damage the resin art and the wood.
  1. Use a mild dish soap or a specially formulated wooden cutting board cleaner. Mix a small amount of the cleaning solution with warm water in a basin or sink.

  2. Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe a mild dish soap solution on the surface of your serving board. Gently wipe the surface, including the resin art, using light pressure. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or brushes that can scratch or damage the resin.

  3. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning with clean water to remove any soap residue. Ensure all cleaning solution is rinsed off to maintain the integrity of the resin art.

  4. Dry the charcuterie board by patting with a dry, clean cloth. Allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing or using it again. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or heat sources, as they can cause warping, yellowing or fading of the resin art.

  5. If your piece is made of wood, you might consider applying a food-safe oil, such as mineral oil or cutting board oil to the wood portion of the board, to condition and protect the wood. Do not apply to the resin art portion. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and drying times. We use Walrus Oil.

  6. Gently buff the resin art with a soft cloth if you notice any dullness. Specialized resin cleaner or polish can also be used.

  7. Don’t stack other items on top of it to avoid the artwork being scratched.

By following these care instructions, you can enjoy your charcuterie board with ocean resin art for a long time.
